Many
companies have now evolved offering unlimited calls to the
Philippines. Some last a few months to about a year or so.
Since the birth of Aspen Communication in 2003, the company who
pioneered in unlimited calling services to a cell phone in the Philippines, we
have seen competition. Some coming from the Philippines, most
of them here in the US. Some boast that they have the cheapest
price in the business but a month or two later, they are gone.
But most of them are unlicensed. Companies offering or
providing Voice Over IP services are subject to the US Federal Communications
Commission (FCC) laws.
Why you
should BUY from a FCC licensed company
Buying from a
licensed company can assure or guarantee you that you will be
provided the service that is promised. Licensed companies are
held to certain standards that must be followed so we are
obligated to provide you with the best possible service. When
you run into a problem, we have to solve it. If you buy from
an unlicensed company, you may not get support and they have
no one to answer to so pretty much, you're out of luck when
you have a complaint.
So the next
time you find a company or you are in a company who provides
this type of service, ask them for their Business and FCC
license. That's your right as a customer. Then check their
license. Don't let them talk you out of it. It is required,
whether they are doing business here in the US or doing
business in the Philippines. Check the validity of their
licenses through their state's Secretary of State and on the
FCC's website. If you can't find their business on both sites,
we suggest you don't do business with them. Though we can't
tell you how you spend your money, it would be wise to be
safe.
Why you
should NOT BUY from an unlicensed company
First, why
would you gamble your money on a company that is afraid to
follow the law? If their services are not up to standard, then
who can you complain to? No one. Because there's no authority
looking over them. This is why you should not waste your time
or money with these companies. When you see a company who is
offering these types of services, ask them for their business
license and FCC license. Don't let them talk you out of it.
What to look
for when you see a company offering this service online or on
the newspaper
Check their
website and see if they have a Contact page. If you don't see
one, don't do business with them. If you do see
one, check and see if they have a real street address. Check
and see if they have a number that you can call and not just
email. If you see a phone number, call the number. Call the
number at
different times of the day and see if someone answers. Protect
your investment so make sure they are there when you need
help.
If you only see
an email, we suggest you move on and save your money. It would
really be frustrating if you cannot get a hold of someone and
just wait on an email response. You have to ask yourself a
question - why is this company scared to place their contact
number or their address? Do they really want to serve you?
Be an informed
consumer! It's your money and you worked for it.

Philippines. We then provide you a number wherever you are (click

and then you call that number. For example, you are in Los
Angeles, Aspen will provide you with a Los Angeles number that
you can call. When you call that Los Angeles number, the
cellphone or bagphone that we issued in the Philippines will
ring. You can then talk to your loved ones.
Is this
real?
It's as real as
you can get. Aspen has been doing this since 2003. We have

Does your
service require an internet connection?
NO, but Aspen
can provide internet based services as well. Most of Aspen's
calls DO NOT REQUIRE THE INTERNET because calls are made to a
cellphone or bagphone in the Philippines. This makes your
recipient mobile and you will be able to call them at work,
school, the market, riding a jeepney, or driving their car.
And as long as they are within the coverage area, you will be
able to talk to them. But if you prefer to use the internet or
your family is not covered by our partner's cellphone
coverage, then we can give you an internet based service as
well. Whatever you require, Aspen will recommend the best
possible solution to allow you to save on your calls to the
Philippines.
Do I have to
register my phone number to be able to call?
NO. You do not
have to register your number with us. Some companies want you
to enter your number or numbers you think you may be calling
from so you will able to call into their system. Aspen does
not have any of these restrictions. You paid for this service
so you should have the freedom to use it however you want it.
If you have a relative in another country and you want them
you use Aspen's service, let us know. We'll give them a number
they can call in the country they are currently located so
they can also call and enjoy the unlimited calling. For
example, one of our customers is from California and the
customer has a sister in New Zealand. For a small additional
fee, Aspen got a New Zealand number for the customer's sister.
Now they enjoy unlimited calling to their mom in the
Philippines.
Why haven't
I heard of Aspen before?
The globe is a
big place and to cover it, it costs money. Aspen is constantly

I'm not in
the US, can I use Aspen's services?
Not only is
available to US or Canadians, Overseas Foreign Workers can
